Modern Art Dessert

I always want to try out this place but getting a reservation is rather a difficult thing when they first open. After a few reservation attempts not being successful, I almost forgot it existed after a while. But well, I did it. I finally went last Saturday to celebrating my friend, Rachel's birthday.

Let me share my thoughts on their signature dessert "Improvisation" here.

In fact, I have learned Improvisation (aka Improv) from acting classes before where I have to act as if I am in live theatre in which the plot, characters and dialogue, scene or story are made up in the moment. Never thought this could apply to dessert.

So I ordered one "Improvisation" for 2 (Reminder: there is a minimum order per person).  Let's not talk about if it worth the money, creativity is certainly maximised compare to traditional dessert. The ingredients of this dessert are, nitrogen sorbet in pear fav/chocolate ice cream, green tea mochi, chocolate mousse, dry pineapple, jello, etc. You can join together with the chef ("artist") to lay out the arrangement which concept is quite similar to an art jamming class.  It took about 20 to 30 mins to create and it's a very colorful and photogenic dish.

It's worth a try at least once. It's not the food. It's the experience.
